Our brewery is situated in a small wooden building
nearly 200 years old that is packed with history. When
it was first built it was partly used as stables, just after
the turn of the century my grandfather started a car
workshop here. This was followed by a small hosiery
factory and now has become a micro brewery, what
will come next.
We are 4 guys enthusiastic about beer and after
having scouted around Europe tasting all the gems
we thought it was time to do something of our own. So
we set about planning and working, as you can see
from the picture it was real hand craft.
Here you see our new
apprentice Christopher
working hard feeding the
labelling machine with
new bottles to be labeled.
He will probably become
our next brew master one
day :-)
Our beer is liquid bread, and it
is extremely environment friendly. We
hardly use any energy. When we cool
down the wort after boiling we run the
wort through a heat exchanger that
heats our brewing water ready for the
next batch.
The mash leftovers goes to feed our
local farmers cows, dont they look
cute and Healthy! The same goes
for the hops and the yeast waste. I
guess the only waste produced is the
small whittle you do after drinking a
pint or two.

Great day!
inside. The mash tun was edged in with only 1/2 inch
clearance on each side, and both the fermenters and the
copper had to be laid down to get in the doorway. We now
have a big job ahead fitting everything together and making it
work.
This is what makes brewing fun!
I think we are the first nuts (in the whole Universe) :-) doing this, we have
acquired two 500 liter Akevitt barrels from Arcus, they are a big maker of the
famous Linie Akevitt. This is a distilled spirit made from potatoes and spiced
with caraway seeds and then aged in oak barrels.....but there is more to it!!!
